Our Ocean, Our Obligation, Our Opportunity. Tackling Textile and Fashion Waste.In collaboration with SeaWomen’s Hub, Sugar Sand Society will conduct a Beach Clean Up exercise like no other. We are planning to remove textiles tangled at the shore line along with plastic waste and excavate rubbish to recover & rehabilitate the beach and marine ecosystem.🧤🧹🗑️♻️🇬🇭Have you signed up yet for the next Community Beach Cleanup Day?Sugar Sand Society we appreciate your efforts of volunteering your time and energy. Every hand present has a huge impact on the environment and the community.If you have work gloves bring ‘em, if not we got you. Mask, Drinking Water and Hand Cleaning Station will be available. A light snack will be provided at the end of the exercise and you are welcomed to hang on the beach afterwards.TIME: Please arrive at 7am so that introductions and proper assignment instructions can be delivered.DATE: 1st Saturday of the monthWHERE: Nungua/Teshie area. Exact pin location will be provided upon registration if this is your first time on site.
