So you say you like burgers, but you’re thinking how and where to get a decent burger in the hot heat of Ghana. But then you say to yourself, “Hmm I  have tried other burger places and when they said it was a burger yes it was a burger but it was not a Burger Burger” .

These places give you that soft bap held together with a long cocktail stick  or smoothed with cheese and toppings trying to contain the succulent beef patty.

When we stumbled on Burger and Relish located on the corner 14th Lane and Dadebu St, Accra, we were pleasantry surprised. The interior of the restaurant come cocktail bar consists of vintage industrial design with quirky urban art a hipsters haven.

“ha Chale”…we exclaimed, this place is like Meat and liquor in the UK. But serving cold Star Beer with chilli fries and cheese. Definitly the people behind Burger and Relish have done their research and replicated a tried and tested formula which puts the emphasis on the on what you are going to eat. As usual gone are the necessities of fine dinning, but instead the burgers are survived on trays lined with grease proof branded paper. The juicy high packed burgers come secured with a knife to help you cut it down to size. Just watching other diners food come out makes your mouth water. The only down side we would say about Burger and Relish is that if you are on a date be prepared to get your hands dirty and your pocket emptied. But overall this is a great place to experience in Accra if you want to experience one of the best places to get a burger in Accra. Burger and Relish in Accra also offers some great event nights through their cocktail bar too so really you can not go wrong. Try it for yourself.

What to try at Burger and Relish

The Smokin’ Jo, a quality beef patty with smoked crispy bacon, cheddar, the 14-spice house barbecue sauce and mayo. Or if you feel brave and hungry The Boss burger is the one.
