Kumasi City Mall is grabbing the attention of Accra residents already!
If something is trolled or people take time to make memes there most be something in it. Because for a person to invest their time the people behind Kumasi City Mall have got done something right.
Kumasi City Mall has been a long time in the planning considering that Accra Mall has been well established for over 10 years with other malls such as Junction and Achimota and even West Hills taking shoppers away from Kumasi. Well it seem that the Kumasi has finally got one up and could boast that it now has a shopping experience that could rival the existing outlets. Currently Kumasi City Mall formally referred to as just “K.C.M” is the largest shopping mall in West Africa at a cost of $95 million dollars it is sure to attract some big brands.
The mall opened in May 2017, so be patient as we are told by the owners as new residents are still settling in to take up the retail space. Like most malls Kumasi City mall has the usual Game and Shoprite providing the basic retail experience of groceries with some white goods (electronics). Like Accra Mall expect to see Woodin fashions providing a flag ship store as well as Yah providing some great deserts and ice creams.
I guess we are all waiting on who will be providing the intended 5 screen cinema experience at Kumasi City Mall as this will definitely change the role of Accra Mall and West Hills as well as Global Cinema. Our money is in Silverbird!
The atmosphere at Kumasi City Mall
The Kumasi City Mall has the enviable status of not just being the only mall outside of Accra, but it is now also, arguably, the biggest mall in Ghana and the biggest in West Africa. All we can say is that its spacious and offers a very relaxed feel to shopping with parking for over 1000 cars plus underground parking. If you just want to experience the biggest shopping mall in West Africa its worthy of a visit.
