10 things to do in Ghana with kids and the family

If you live in Ghana or you are travelling into Ghana with family it sometimes can be hard to find activities to do dependent on the age of the children, but one thing is universal the older kids want more than the beach! It has to be noted that most of the activities listed and mentioned in this article are located in Accra. As Accra probably has some of widest selection of things to do for kids and families than most Ghana regions. 

Is Ghana family friendly for holidays?

Yes, Ghana is the most family friendly place you can ever visit. Family is the centre of Ghanaian culture and you will notice it if you are living in Ghana or visiting that every venue and place will go out of their way to make sure that children are always catered for. The majority of restaurants will have kids menus or high chairs if you have young ones. Staff at venues are always very attentive . The only down side when travelling with tweens (kids aged from 13 to 15) is when you want inter connecting rooms. As they are not old enough to be in a room down the corridor themselves. How some places get around this is to offer rooms next to each other. But its best to ask to see what the venue can do.

This group is probably the easiest to cater for in Ghana as said previously if you live in Ghana or are visiting we recommend for this group activities such as the beach, Splash and Play water park in Accra, or Rattery park in Kumasi. For this group its all about doing stimulating things that they can engage in where you as the parent can just sit back and watch them for an hour or two.
