The 13th African Games is set to take place in Accra between the 8th and the 23rd March 2024. Conceived in 1920 by the Modern Olympics founder Pierre de Coubertin. The games occur every 4 years like the Olympics and provides the platform for all 55 African countries to present their best of their best athletes to compete in 29 Olympic sports with many of the events being used as qualifiers for the Olympics. This is the first time the African Games is being hosted by Ghana even though it was one of the founding countries of the modern African Games. The Borteyman Stadium all you need to know
Borteyman Stadium or should we say the complex is a purpose-built African games sports village covering over 150 acres. This complex has been built at an estimated construction cost of $145 million and will accommodate a total of seven competitive sports, including table tennis, handball, tennis, volleyball, swimming, badminton, and the triathlon.
Notably, four of these events – table tennis, tennis, triathlon, and badminton – will double as qualifiers for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France.

The complex will host 1,000-seater capacity swimming pool, comprising a 10-lane competition swimming pool and an eight-lane warm-up swimming pool, alongside a multi-purpose Sports Hall capable of seating 1,000 spectators for various events such as basketball, badminton, netball, table tennis, and weightlifting.
