The Kakum National Park is a semi-deciduous rain forest which occupies 234 square miles of fresh green rain forest which is a welcome alternative to all the red dust and the busy city atmosphere in Ghana.
Its a large oasis in the the tropical heat. If you have ever watched I am a celebrity get me out of here and wanted to experience a high rope walk over a rain forest then you have to visit the Kakum National Park and do the canopy walk.
Once you start this canopy walk the only sounds you will hear are the bird calls as you elevated to 40metres above the forest floor. If you suffer from vertigo this may not be the experience for you. Along the walk there are several viewing platforms for you to catch you breath.
