Garage Lounge and Bar – Last night 29th June 2025 be there!!
Garage Lounge and Bar – or just “Garage” as most regulars call it – has been one of East Legon’s favourite night spots for over five years. Known for its open-air layout, hanging umbrellas, vibrant music, and weekend crowd, Garage was more than just a bar. It was a vibe, a lifestyle, a party waiting to happen.
But all good things must come to an end.
Final Night: Sunday, June 29, 2025
In a heartfelt Instagram post shared on Tuesday, June 18, 2025, Garage announced that it will be closing its doors for good after five and a half incredible years. The final night of operation will be Sunday, June 29, and it’s expected to be one for the books.
“What started as a bold idea turned into a movement,” the announcement read. “A place where Accra came alive with music, flavour, culture, and unforgettable memories.”
So if you’ve never been – or want to experience it one last time – this is your chance to say goodbye to one of Accra’s nightlife staples.
A Look Back: What Made Garage Special
Garage Lounge & Bar started as a cool open-air lounge but quickly became one of Accra’s most buzzing hangouts. By night, the laid-back lounge transformed into a full-on club experience — music thumping, cocktails flowing, and energy levels rising.
With a piazza-style setup and upstairs viewing area, Garage always gave off Bloom Bar vibes. You could sip a cocktail upstairs while watching the dancefloor heat up below — or be right in the middle of it throwing down your best moves.
Where It Was
Garage was located on Boundary Road in East Legon, right in the heart of Accra’s party zone. With its playful decor and signature hanging umbrellas, we always wondered why it wasn’t called The Umbrella Bar — it would’ve fit perfectly!
Signature Drinks
Garage was also known for its impressive cocktail menu — mixing classics with creative house specials. Whether you were a mojito loyalist or an “I’ll try anything once” adventurer, Garage always delivered something to sip and savour.
The Vibe
Weekends at Garage were electric. With top DJs, live performances (remember that King Promise event?), and friendly staff that made everyone feel like a regular, it’s no surprise Garage carved out a loyal following.

Thank You, Garage
Garage wasn’t just a place to drink and dance — it was a chapter in Accra’s nightlife story. From the beats to the cocktails, the memories made there will stick around long after the lights go out.
So here’s to one final turn-up.
June 29, 2025 — let’s give Garage the send-off it deserves.
