“Wow. We looked at the script and checked out the website which read. “Buka as it is popularly referred to, was set up to cater especially for the middle-income business community and the discerning international traveller” That’s what they say, but in reality Buka is a place for all to visit. If you like your local food served well. Established in 2003
The restaurant is a favourite for Ghanaians as well as tourist wanting to sample local Ghanaian food.
The menu at Buka is not extensive there is just enough verity to keep you engaged. The pricing is not too bad either with most meals under 50Ghc with plenty of side dishes to add to.
Overall service at Buka is good, considering we have been through a pandemic the waiting staff are attentive and shape and are willing to assist where they can. The wait for the food was around 30mins considering the size of this place which is over 2 floors this is really good. You get to enjoy your drinks and starters in this time
Buka is located very centrally in Osu, on 10th Street, just off Oxford street its not hard to find. There is parking for cars on site with parking attendants helping you park everything from massive 4×4 to standard saloons.
At Buka there are different dinning experiences that can be had from air conditioned dinning rooms where you can have tables for 2 or up to 6. Or if you want to have a private function there are private dinning rooms which are charged at 100Ghc an hour excluding food. These are great for private parties.
Downstairs seating with a cool fan is what we opted for and this was really nice sitting on wooden style chairs and tables surrounded by lots of greenery. It felt like you were outside but still very inside.
Our verdict ever-popular Buka serves some of the best West African food in Accra, in stylish surroundings The portions are large so be prepared hence why the kitchen can run out of options sometimes. When you order be prepared so we recommend you come with an empty belly and some patience”
