This December, they come back on stage, on canvas and on the runway, retold for now.The Canvas Arts and Drama Festival (Canvafest) is Northern Ghana’s celebration of creativity, run by Canvas for Change Ghana. This year’s theme is “There’s Food at Home: Adapting Ghanaian Stories to the Contemporary Tongue.” It’s a reminder that we don’t need to look abroad for great stories, because the richest ones are already ours. Day 1, Friday 4 December: The Night An evening of drama, spoken word and poetry, fashion, drumming and dance. Expect old stories with new energy, and a night you’ll keep talking about.Day 2, Saturday 5 December: The Studio Get hands-on in interactive workshops on creative practice, storytelling and building a creative career.
