Like most people who live in a country where you have so much on your doorstep it is very easy to miss things and ignore the key tourist attractions in Ghana. What ends up happening is that you start to take things for granted. Ghana has a number of phenomenal historical attractions all within its unique yet beautiful regions. With each of the 16 regions offering a multitude of cultures and things to experience it was hard to whittle the Ghana attractions down to this final list. The criteria like most on this site is based on what people have commented on and from our our experiences.
Ghana is not short of slave castles, museums art galleries and gardens which all form the backdrop of many of its main tourist attractions. However, Ghana also has rainforests, safari’s and nature reserves if you did not know.
So now that lockdown restrictions are being eased around the world we would recommend getting out there and experiencing some of these places right now before they are swamped with more tourist. We have visited and experienced all of the listed and have given our verdict but it’s up to you to go and experience for yourself. If you are able to link you visit with a festival in the local region your experience will be even more exciting.

- Why were the English, French, Dutch and Portuegese fighting each other with their armarders of ships?
- How did Gold, chocolate and the labour of Africans have on the economies of the European countries?
- How was it possible for these European countries to trade with the people of Ghana?
