What was once known as The Black Drip Party quickly evolved into something far greater than an event. Through consistent growth, unwavering community support, and an ever-expanding vision, the people themselves renamed it as “Legacy Black Afro Festival”, and now proudly known as “The Festival of Black.”This was not just a rebrand but a declaration.A declaration of Black excellence, Black unity, and Black futurism where fashion, music, art, and identity collide in an immersive, all-black experience that honors our past while boldly stepping into the future.Every year, Legacy Promotions has returned to its roots in Koforidua for the maiden edition, before taking the celebration to the heart of the nation Accra Ghana, the capital city for a capital edition. And year after year, the numbers have grown. The energy has intensified. The legacy has expanded.The Accra Capital Edition in 2025 marked a historic turning point, where diasporas traveled in their numbers to experience the festival. Tickets were purchased before flights were booked. The city pulsed with Black culture, Afrofuturism, and pride. Accra didn’t just host the festival but rather experienced Black excellence at its highest frequency.Now all eyes return to where it all began.The Return to the Maiden Land Themed, “The Octavia Edition’26”This March, Legacy Black Afro Festival makes its highly anticipated return to Koforidua, bringing with it the momentum of the world.Dubbed “The March Madness”, the anticipation has already begun — and tickets are on a rush, because people know what’s coming.Inspired by Afrofuturism, ancestral strength, and visionary Black narratives, The Octavia Edition represents a new chapter, one that dares to imagine Black culture beyond limits. This year’s edition honors the thinkers, creators, rebels, and dreamers who shape the future while standing firmly on the shoulders of heritage.Due to the rapid growth of the festival and overwhelming public demand, the 2026 maiden edition will take place at a larger, open-air venue Koforidua Technical University Campus, setting the stage for the biggest and most electrifying edition ever witnessed in the Eastern Region Ghana.
