Ghanaian Profiles: Michael Dapaah aka Big Shaq..the Man is hot making great comedy
Big Shaq AKA Michael Daapah’s star has been raising since we first wrote about him back in 2017. Back then Trump was president (Oh my), the winter Olympics in Sochi seemed to be going well and cold as usual. Also we lived in a world where there was no pandemic, lockdowns, and growing conspiracy theories about a group of people wanting to take over the world and imprison us into their servants.
Ok, we had our usual world stories terrorism, fake news and natural disasters. But we also had “Skrrat, skidi-kat-kat” Big Shaq. Everything was balanced we had a sense of humour and not everything was being taking too seriously.
As we all know Big Shaq was the creation of comedian Michael Dapaah a very talented young Ghanaian from London. Who started off creating viral videos online with his mockumentary comedy series “Some Where In London” #SWIL. His alto ego Roadman/Big Shaq. He has created a worldwide international character similar to that of what Sacha Baron Cohen did with Ali . So far “Mans not hot” in 2017 was the number 1 trending video on Youtube, over 200million views and has amassed with over 20million Spotify downloads. Currently the video has hitting well over 400million views.
What we like about Michael Dapaah is that he is genuine humble person who has worked hard to build his career. he is not an over night session. hard graft and commitment
Since Big Shaq was unleashed onto the world Michael Daapah has been working on other comedy characters and projects. He is still releasing music and doing presenting and PAs worldwide.
