Being the second largest city in Ghana, Kumasi is definitely not short on bars and lounges. At times it seems like everywhere you go there is a bar or lounge, also everyone you speak to has a recommendation for you.

However, we think it all comes down to the kind of bar and lounge you are after. Like many large cities there are different types place that cater for different types of customers.

So what type of bar and lounge do you prefer?

Do you want a place where you can chill with your friends and just gist ordering some nice grills? Or do you want a place where its heaving with people music pumping with live DJS and a few celebrities thrown in? Types of bars in Kumasi

Depending on what you are looking for we are confident to say that Kumasi has a mixed bag of venues. What you need to be mindful off though is that many places in Kumasi like to call themselves clubs but these are all night clubs they are more like lounges (places that serve snacks play music) Also the word “Pub” is used frequently in the names of venues. These venues are more like places to have a drink and just chill.

Most of the best known bars or most recommended bars in Kumasi are located centrally. The most popular areas to find the bars are Adum, Bompata, Bantama, and Pampaso.

Are the bars open and operating normally in Kumasi?

All bars are operating normally within Kumasi It seems like Covid is a distant memory, its still  best to call ahead if you have a large party.
