Designed like a sturdy fortress-like structure with its rectangular bell tower. Located in the hearth of Accra’s business district, the cathedral offers some tranquillity from the city bustle.
Built in 1894 this Anglican Church is functional church in Accra however, the red brick structure is similar to the style of Churches usually found in England and was built by the colonial British government. The Church was originally built for the colonial expatriates.
The church is famous as this is the place where The Prince of Wales, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip worshipped when they visite Ghana in 1961 and 1999
