Airlines that fly to Ghana
Did you know that there are currently about 18 airlines that provide flights to Accra in Ghana on a weekly basis? Some of these airlines fly daily like British Airways and KLM. Many of the airlines that fly into Ghana are not direct and stopover either in Europe or the middle east.

KLM fly’s to Accra 5 times a week with all flights going via Amsterdam and with their SkyTeam is an airline alliance. Flyers have more options to use other connection points through Air France
British Airways flys to Accra non stop everyday from London Heathrow the route is so popular that you can set your watch to the frequency. Every day at 13:55 from London Heathrow a British Airways plane makes it’s way to Accra’s Kotoka International airport.
Emirates Airlines flys to Accra, landing at Kotoka International Airport several times a week. All flights are indirect and has been doing so for past few years
How much is a plane ticket from UK to Ghana?
Airline tickets from UK to Ghana vary dependent on the flight provider and the time you wish to travel. Currently the best far from the UK to Ghana is 450 per person from KLM (November 2021). However, the average far in off peak times is around 400 per person whilst in high season fairs can be as much as 800 per person
How many hours from UK is Ghana?
Its surprising how close Ghana is to the UK, direct flight times are only 6 hours. So, If your flight leaves at 10am from UK you will be in Ghana by 3pm in time for a late lunch. With indirect stop over flights the average travel time is around 8 to 9 hours which isn’t bad considering the amount you can save on stop over flights. KLM and Brussels air provide what we consider decent indirect flights to Accra, Ghana. Their flights usually leave early in the morning and get you Ghana at the same time as the daily direct British Airways flights which leave in the afternoon from the UK.
How long does a flight from USA to Ghana take?
Travelling from the USA to Ghana there are several options. United Airlines, Delta and Air France fly direct to Accra Ghana from New York or Washington with an average flight time of 9 and half hours. The return flights tend to take a little longer from Accra with an average flight time of 11hrs. In terms of flights out the USA is well served by airlines flying indirect with stop overs into Accra with the average flight with stop overs taking 16hrs. Most of the stop overs dependent on where in the USA you are flying from the stop over could be in the USA or in Europe before final destination Accra.
