Who are an organisation that works to bring together creatives and artists their CHALE WOTE Street Art Festival provides the perfect platform the Ghana’s creatives, artist, musicians producers of immersive content to all converge in one place, James Town to bring their creations to life. The festival is all about African content and the people behind it. The vision of creators of Chale Wote is to cultivate a wider audience for the arts in West Africa by breaking creative boundaries and using art as a viable form to rejuvenate public spaces. The CHALE WOTE Street Art Festival challenges both artists and community-based audiences to connect through art.
Where is the CHALE WOTE Street Art Festival held?
The CHALE WOTE Street Art Festival is held in the James Town district in Accra every August for a week. The whole area becomes a massive stage and canvas for African art and content. With street processions, pop up theatres and events. Most events are free and like a massive art gallery its about how you the audience interprets it.
